These are the basic terms for using this website and working with Helpful Donkey ("we," "us," "Donkey"). Any actual project we build together will have its own written proposal covering scope, price, timeline, and acceptance criteria — that proposal governs the project itself. These terms cover the site and the general relationship.

Submitting a job

Submitting the intake form does not create a contract or guarantee we'll take on your project. We review every submission and respond honestly: with a proposal, a few clarifying questions, an offer of paid discovery, or a straightforward no.

No guarantees before a proposal

Nothing on this site is a commitment to deliver specific results, timelines, or pricing until it's written into an actual proposal both of us agree to.

What we won't take on

We turn down work we can't verify, can't test properly, or that requires credentials, expertise, or infrastructure we don't have. We'd rather decline honestly than deliver something we're not confident in.

Payment

Payment terms for an accepted project are set out in that project's proposal. We generally don't begin build work before a deposit or agreed payment arrangement is in place.

Ownership

Unless a proposal says otherwise, work product built specifically for you becomes yours once it's paid for in full. Reusable components, internal tools, and general-purpose code Donkey builds for its own operations remain ours.

Confidentiality

We treat what you share with us as confidential, and we don't move your data, code, or business details into anything we reuse for other clients.

Limitation of liability

This site and the information on it are provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, Helpful Donkey isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. Liability related to an actual delivered project is governed by that project's proposal.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
